LAWSUITS IN THE MAKING?
The tobacco companies had to pay hundreds of billions of dollars to
the states because during civil trials, juries found the tobacco
companies libel because lawyers convinced the juries that smoking
caused lung cancer, emphysema, heart disease and death.
Since these jury awards, a lot of states have banned smoking in public
places because of the effect smoke has on people.
Now I read that people are pushing for medical marijuana use. Reason: to
ease aches and pains. What's wrong with Advil, Tylenol, aspirin, etc.?
I also read that you can use the marijuana leaves in your favorite
recipes. But you know as well as I that the vast majority of people
using medical marijuana will light up a joint. Are you going to tell
me that marijuana smoke won't harm your health like cigarette smoke?
Just asking.
Maybe years from now this will be a way for states to help ease their
budget woes and reap billions from marijuana growers if they find that
smoking marijuana causes health problems like smoking cigarettes did.
