GET USED TO IT, ILLICIT DRUG USE WILL CONTINUE
Editor, the Times:
Some folks do not think free needles for druggies are a very good
idea. I beg to differ.
Those who use or should I say abuse drugs ain't about to stop 'cuz you
don't like it. Nossiree.
Get used to it, even though it does go against the
grain.
Better, by far, free needles to try and stem the diseases that come
from using unsafe needles, for this is a huge drain on our health care
system.
There are several types of sexually transmitted diseases that are
entirely preventable.
There is hepatitis, and no doubt other diseases, too.
All these problems create a huge impact on our over-burdened
healthcare system.
Many or even most of the problems are entirely preventable, too, I
might add.
Many of [the drug users] live a very dangerous life style. They are
quite indifferent to the damage they do to themselves.
You might say that they are committing suicide by indifference.
The silly buggers.
