MISSED CHANCE TO EXPORT DOPERS

Re "Mexican drug bill derailed," May 4: Our federal government has
failed us again! After having created the current illegal immigration
problem years ago by failing to develop a viable guest-worker
program, the incompetents in Washington just missed a great
opportunity to help balance the ledger.

The Mexican government wanted to legalize drugs. Had they done so, it
would have resulted in a mad scramble of druggies across the border.
Just think: For each illegal but hard-working Mexican who came here,
we could send 10 lazy American dopeheads to Mexico.

But our federal leaders, not wanting to do something positive for
America, succeeded in getting Mexico's President Vicente Fox to veto the bill!
