DON'T TAX POT
Re: "Tinfoil hat delusion," (May 16).
I agree with Ian Robinson that marijuana should be legalized, but I
disagree strongly with his advice that we should "tax the hell out of
it." Why should marijuana users be forced to pay more taxes than other
users? Isn't that a recipe for allowing gangsters a toehold in the
market just as we're doing now with cigarettes? High taxes are just
another form of prohibition.
