CANNABIS SAVED MY LIFE
I hope for Michael Coren's sake ("Why they call it dope," May 15)
he's never stricken with any of the ailments medical cannabis can
benefit. I suffer from progressive MS and had severe and long-lasting
reactions to all drugs prescribed by both my doctors. These
side-effects would have killed me had I persisted in treating my
symptoms with pharmaceuticals. Come walk a mile in my shoes Mr. Coren
(if only I could still walk a mile!) and see if you can still accuse
critically and chronically ill citizens of being selfish, silly and
abundantly wrong. Like the governing party, he conveniently dismisses
real science and spews ideological rhetoric to the detriment of
suffering Canadians.

(Many claim it eases their pain.)
