THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR OUTLAWING MARIJUANA
Michigan's 2008 legalization of marijuana for medical use is a mixed
blessing ("Debate intensifies about the use of medical marijuana," May
9, Times Herald). It still amounts to government extortion and
discrimination of a relatively safe, God-given plant.
Cannabis should completely be re-legalized. Citizens should have
access to it as God intended. A sane or moral argument to continue
cannabis prohibition, persecution and extermination doesn't exist. On
that, there is no "debate."
