GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY NEED

Am I alone in wondering how those whom we chose to represent us have
instead elected to disregard the medical suffering of many of their
constituents? I know of many in our community whose lives have been
living hells because of their medical conditions ... and many of
those same people have had the quality of their lives vastly
improved by the use of marijuana. Why should we force these people
to go to another county, or worse yet be crimnalized in the county
in which they reside and pay taxes?

I am sure all of us citizens don't want to pay taxes, so with those
Sutter County officials' logic they should also vote to eliminate
taxes. They say they are concerned over people abusing the law - I
say they are abusing our taxes. I grew up in the 1960 and 1970s,
when the establishment screamed loudly about the evils of marijuana
and the road to hell it would eventually lead users down. We knew it
was stupid then and it is considerably more ignorant now. I say,
give the people what they legally voted into law 14 years ago. And
to Stan Cleveland who voted to approve the medical marijuana ID, I
say thank you.
