BREAKING PIPE WON'T BREAK ADDICTION
Re: Angels Eye Local Wing, Thursday, May 11.
The Guardian Angels' "strongarmed" ways create more problems than
solutions. The only thing that results from breaking an addict's
crack pipe is more crime and the spread of disease. Borrowing someone
else's pipe leads to the spread of hepatitis, and stealing may be the
only way to get a new pipe. I hope that people see that what
Vancouver needs is to work to cure the crime problem in our city, not
a dirty Band-Aid that will lead the infection to spread.
