CANNABIS BETTER THAN MAN-MADE CHEMICALS
In response to the April 4 letter "Bad things will occur if marijuana
legalized":
It makes no sense how many people are completely against cannabis yet
will take endless amounts of prescription or over-the-counter pain
relievers. Cannabis is of the earth, natural and a much better option
to put in your body than man-made chemicals.
If the letter writer was to actually do the research on it, he would
find that, if consumed properly, the benefits far outweigh any negatives.
Migraines are a normal part of life for me and I don't really want to
continue to throw back pills in order to try and make things more
bearable. People forget that cannabis doesn't have to just be for
deadbeat stoners, it actually has been scientifically proved as a
natural pain reliever.
However, most prohibitionists only know how to think with blinders
on. They don't realize that a little cannabis in the safe confines of
their own home is much better for them than fast food or 80 percent
of the mass market groceries they pick up from their local store.
Thinking outside the box and weighing out the pros and cons of things
is not exactly what prohibitionists are known for.
If the letter writer is worried about our health, where is the
outrage over food items that are bad for you? If he is so worried
about the keiki, where is the outrage about Furlough Fridays?
Education should be our No. 1 priority.
