LEGALIZATION QUESTIONED
Re: "Harper disappoints," (Letters, March 28).
To all the pro-pot legalization advocates, I have a few questions I
would like answered because I have never read any of your letters
addressing it. First, if pot is legalized and the age of consumption
is 19 and up, would the under-age dope smokers move on to other drugs
because they now can't get pot because it's legal? If not, where do
you think the 12- to 18-year-old kids will get their pot from? Will
it be from the dealers who they were getting it from before
legalization? Would it be OK for the dope smokers to get high on the
job? Would these people whine and cry when I fire an employee for
getting high on the job? Who would cover the medical costs incurred
when a stoned worker injures or kills another worker?
