DOGS SNIFF OUT MARIJUANA AT ADAMS CITY HIGH SCHOOL
K-9 units from various Adams County law enforcement agencies searched
Adams City High School this morning for contraband and narcotics, the
Commerce City Police said this morning. The high school was locked
down during the search.
According to a release from Christian Rasmussen, spokesman for the
police department, the dogs located "illegal narcotics" - specifically
marijuana - in four student lockers and in two cars in the high school
parking lot.
Rasmussen said the students involved were issued tickets and now face
misdemeanor charges.
He said random searches at the high school are conducted at the
request of school administrators, usually once a year.
