DRUG WAR NOT WORKING
As a police officer who worked the trenches of the drug war for 18
years, I know that all drug dealers are replaced soon after they are
arrested or shot. My profession has been enforcing this modern-day
prohibition for 40 years. The results? Drugs are cheaper, stronger
and readily available to our children.
The true victims of any new drug task force for the Macon area will
be the taxpayers. Locking up more drug dealers will just mean less
money for teachers. You want to make a drug dealer cry and scream?
Legalize drugs, starting with marijuana. Why would reducing crime,
death and disease be such a bad thing? Are millions going to start
using crack, heroin and meth the next day? I don't think Georgians
are that stupid.
