BAN INGREDIENTS FOR METH, HELP CHILDREN

This is from my heart to yours, concerning the meth problem in our
state.

Some people are all riled up over the "inconvenience" of having to get
a prescription for ephedrine and pseudoephedrine after the passage of
a new law to make it harder for meth manufacturers to get the main
ingredients to enable them to make their "life-changing" drugs.

Let me mention some of the lives that are changed: innocent children
who matter less to these meth addicts than the meth itself and their
next fix; children who have to sleep in tents in the freezing cold
because the "grown-ups" are in the house tending their meth labs; or
children in the back room sleeping on the floor with the dogs to keep
warm, or the children who get burned and scarred for life, others who
are burned to death. And let us not forget the precious newborn babies
born into drug addiction. They also suffer from withdrawals, seizures
and bad headaches and some even die.

Do you think these children are inconvenienced? Where does their help
come from? They are at the mercy of the court system. It is time for
drug addicts to be responsible for their actions. They know what they
are doing to their children and do it anyway.

I pray that judges will stop putting these children back into these
repeat meth offenders' homes. The cycle needs to be broken! There are
thousands of childless couples who would adopt these children and give
them a home with love and security just like God intended them to have.

Until recently, I didn't know anything about crystal meth. Now I know
more than I want to. I urge the people of authority to have a "no
tolerance" policy on drugs just like they do in the school system. And
I urge the people who are not in authority to pray for those who are.
They have a tough job. We will all stand before God one day and I
assure you that He has a "no tolerance" policy against those who
mistreat His precious children. Life is full of all kinds of
inconveniences, but we need to be the voice of the ones who are
inconvenienced the most - our precious children. My hope is that God
will find us faithful.
