POP DRINK BAN AND PROHIBITION

I was amused by a suggestion to ban soft drinks. While we're at it,
how about we ban alcohol too, because it is also a harmful substance?
Oh wait, they tried that, and it was a dismal failure. Prohibition
only serves to create violence and does nothing to stop people from
using said substances. From marijuana to cocaine (to soft drinks?),
prohibition does not work, and is detrimental to society because it
facilitates the creation of black markets.
