GIVE VOTERS A CHANCE TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA
Editor, the Tribune:
Former New Mexico Republican Gov. Gary Johnson is not the only elected
official to have voiced support for legalized cannabis while in office
("Former GOP Governor Wants Pot Legal," March 20). Congressman Dennis
Kucinich of Ohio, who campaigned for president, has said if elected he
will regulate cannabis similar to alcohol.
For the record, as a registered Democrat, if a Republican gets on the
election ballot for president who vows to RE-legalize cannabis, I will
strongly consider changing political parties. I'm not alone; millions
of voting Americans also oppose discrimination of cannabis users.
