PARENTS PLAN TO BE AT ADSS THIS THURSDAY FOR PROJECT E AWARE

The District Parent Advisory Council of School District 70 (DPAC),
along with the RCMP, present "Project E Aware" from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
at the ADSS Auditorium. "E" = Ecstasy.

The keynote speaker, Mrs. Catherine Spanevello, will talk to parents
about her daughter Erin, who was a healthy and happy young adult until
she dies from cardiac and respiratory failure induced by a lethal dose
of illegal chemical drugs at the age of 21.

Although this topic may not be suitable for younger children, all
parents are encouraged to attend. RCMP members Dave Cusson and Theresa
Thompson will also be on hand to speak with parents and answer
questions about ecstasy and other illegal drugs while also discussing
the RCMP's Community based Drug Prevention Strategy.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS are also urged to visit the MINI PARENT
INFORMATION EXPO in the ADSS lobby, which starts at 6:00 p.m. this
Thursday. There will be door prizes, refreshments for sale and parent
information booths.
