RESIGN, GREENWELL
(Councilman) Kelly Greenwell's threat of resignation is a threat? I
suggest that he does. He doesn't do his homework and own research and
yet begs that someone "show" him the light. The facts and
consequences about the legalization of marijuana are ongoing and have
been in Northern California.
The situation has been on public television several times and all
over newspapers. Kelly is closed-minded and disrespectful; let him
go. If he wants to sit and listen to a substance-abuse counselor he
can call at his convenience, but he has to come with an open mind,
which I don't think is about to happen.
Emily (Naeole-Beason) complained about the problems she has had down
at Issac Hale with "drunks" doing pilikia to the public. Maybe some
of those drunks were also on pakalolo, too, Emily?
Open your mind. The Puna District is known for a pakalolo and other
drug problems. Your denial doesn't demand attention other than to
reinforce a "no" vote. If you want the true answer to pakalolo, go to
those who work with those who are affected by it. If you choose to
remain of the same frame of mind, leave the area. It's a mind- and
mood-altering chemical at best, legal or illegal, and it ain't a
pakanini problem.
