STOP PROTECTING ME

We Don't Need The Destruction Of Personal Freedom

As bird flu testing kicks off in Anchorage, I would like to make a
request to the federal, state, municipal and corporate powers that
be: Stop protecting me. I don't want protection against foreign
terrorists, weak little Middle Eastern banana republics, immigrants,
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or the flu. I don't want protection
from secondhand smoke, drug users, Muslims, Arabs, transfats, bogie
men or gay people. And since we have now established that protection
means McCarthy-esque fear mongering, invasion of privacy, control,
manipulation, restriction, secret prisons, torture and destruction of
personal freedom, integrity and individuality, you can keep it.
Nobody needs that kind of protection.
