ORDER TO DANA POINT POT DISPENSARIES TO HAND RECORDS OVER TO CITY SUSPENDED
THE LATEST: Orange County Superior Court Judge Glenda Sanders' Nov. 2
order for Dana Point medical marijuana dispensaries/collectives to hand
business records over to the city of Dana Point has been halted. The
original order called for records to be handed over by Dec. 7.
The city originally requested the records in July in response to a new
collective asking that zoning laws be changed to allow for such
collectives within city limits. According to City Attorney Patrick Munoz,
the city's first step in considering whether or not to revise zoning laws
is to look into whether or not existing dispensaries are operating within
current legal guidelines regarding the day to day operation of such
businesses making review of the records necessary.
WHAT'S NEXT: The matter is currently awaiting an appeals court review. A
hearing date has not yet been set. Stay tuned.
