WL MAN CHARGED WITH SMUGGLING IN URINE FOR DRUG TEST

WOODSTOCK A 21-year-old Wonder Lake remained in police custody on
$25,000 bond Friday after police said he tried to smuggle in someone
else's urine for a drug and alcohol test.

[name redacted], of [address redacted], had the urine in a plastic
container taped to his thigh, said Sgt. Michael Cisner of the McHenry
County Sheriff's Department.

"People don't understand that they have to take a urine test for a
reason and to try to bring someone else's urine to fool the testing
process just makes their situation more severe," Cisner said. "Then
they get caught and go back to jail."

[name redacted] was charged with defrauding a drug and alcohol test
and obstructing justice, both Class 4 felonies.

[name redacted] was subject to random drug and alcohol screens and
ordered not to have any drugs or alcohol in his body as part of his
release on a $15,000 personal recognizance bond.

That bond is in connection with an aggravated battery case. [name
redacted] allegedly struck another man in the face with his fist and a
beer can. That case is next due in court Monday, Dec. 14.

Several other people have been charged with similar offenses in recent
months.

Police said [name redacted] of Island Lake intended to cut open a
condom full of urine with a broken piece of razor blade he had in his
mouth. [name redacted] of McHenry was sentenced to 18 months in prison
after she admitted to trying to pass a young boy's urine off as her
own for a drug test.
