Four easy steps to balance the budget:

1. Stop.

2. The.

3. Drug.

4. War.

There's a downside, of course. As always, some sacrifices have to be
made.

For example, ending the drug war would require honesty on the part of
our elected officials and the restoration of individual liberties and
constitutional guarantees and protections.

As if that weren't bad enough, ending the drug war would surely bring
about an end to the Mexican's drug cartels' reign of terror and might
even allow Mexico to stabilize enough to keep her best and brightest
at home and not dying in the Arizona desert.

Unfortunately, these are sacrifices too many Americans are not willing
to make.
