POT PROHIBITION IS CAUSING HARM
To the Editor: I am writing about your thoughtful editorial, "Pot as
medicine," on May 12. Of course, many so-called drug warriors, such
as Terrence P. Farley of the Ocean County anti-narcotics task force,
will accuse those who support the legalization of marijuana for
medical purposes as having an agenda of wanting to legalize marijuana
use for all adults.
I proudly count myself as having such an agenda.
Those who opposed slavery had an agenda.
Those who opposed the mass murder of Jews and other minorities in
Germany had an agenda.
And yes, we who oppose marijuana prohibition because it is
counterproductive and is causing much more harm than it prevents,
proudly have an agenda.
