MEDICAL MARIJUANA'S EFFECTS ON TEENS

The Canon City Planning Commission "threw your children under the
bus" when they approved the delivery of medical "fraud" marijuana to
homes across the street from your schools. Law enforcement would not
be allowed to know who receives the "organized crime" deliveries.

Daily deliveries to homes in "drug free school zones" can include up
to 2 ounces of pot (112-168 pot cigarettes) or candy/soda pop
manufactured with marijuana like Stoney Ranchers, Pot Tarts,
Buddafinger, Double Puff OEO, Pot Suckers, Bongs Root Beer, Toka
Cola and Puffsi.

The Planning Commission denied citizens' right to testify about
documented medical marijuana traded for sex with minors and a 492
percent increase in teen treatment for marijuana abuse/dependence.

I was not allowed to share that an analysis of California search
warrants at several dispensaries show that 52 percent of the
customers purchasing medical marijuana were between 17 to 30. About
63 percent of primary caregivers buying pot were between the ages of
18 through 30. Identification was not requested for individuals who
looked under 18.

Recognizing the importance of behavior of caregivers, I wanted to
share (not allowed) that while living in Denver, a marijuana
caregiver launched a massive harassment campaign against me. He was
convicted on numerous counts of dealing pot to children. He bragged
in court how he went into nursing homes and gave pot to patients
without doctor's knowledge.

This isn't the pot of the 1960s with the "get high" chemical THC of
.05 percent. It now can go up to 30 percent. After learning harmful
effects, Colorado defeated legalizing pot in 2006.

decreased activity and blood flow in areas of the brain covering
language, memory, anger management, emotional control and motor
coordination. Marijuana use also may trigger panic attacks, paranoia
and even psychosis. Research shows a link between marijuana use and
violence.

In light of the United States Supreme Court's decision in Gonzales v
Reich, I believe that no state has the power to grant its citizens
the right to violate federal law.

Other cities banned dispensaries. Contact your City Council before
they vote on planning commission recommendations. Attend the council
meeting and speak out. The actions of your city attorney, mayor-elect
and all but two of planning commission members provided no
protection of health, welfare and safety of citizens and their children.
