PROHIBITION IS A ONE-WAY RATCHET

Drug use is demand driven. Prohibition is a one-way ratchet. The
reason for prohibition is greed and lust for power. For many police
agencies, it's budget and job security. For the dealers it's increased
profit. When cops and dealers both benefit from the same legislation,
something is incredibly wrong. The U.S. government ended alcohol
prohibition because it needed money during the Great Depression and
because it wasn't working. Cannabis prohibition is following the same
pattern.
