NO SUCH THING AS 'MEDICAL MARIJUANA'

The passing of Proposition 215 in 1996 -- the medical marijuana law --
was a terribly tragic mistake that will be deeply regretted, primarily
because it is addictive and will lead to the use of harder and more
deadly drugs such as cocaine and heroin. I was stunned to see it
approved. I cannot imagine a society emerged in drugs. It would be
disastrous.

For over a decade, users of marijuana have been chopping away at our
social structure to convince people that there is nothing wrong with
smoking pot. Their aim, of course, is total legalization with no
restrictions.

They were very shrewd in referring to it as "medical marijuana." They
really pulled a fast one on the public. Unfortunately, the media
foolishly followed suit by also referring to it as "medical marijuana"
making the term more or less official. Most people became convinced
that it is truly a medication.

Actually, there is no such thing as "medical marijuana." Marijuana is
marijuana -- nothing else. There are no "medical" benefits from its
use, other than getting stoned to the point of not feeling anything.

In their journey to justify its use, they claimed a myriad of ailments
-- glaucoma, migraines, depression, anxiety, nausea, back pain -- you
name it.

Should it come to anyone's surprise that there are all kinds of
medications, both in over the counter and prescription, that will cure
or relieve any conceivable ailment.

The media should reveal the names of doctors who are prescribing
"medical marijuana." My guess is not many.
