MEDICAL MARIJUANA RULE GETS COURT REVIEW

DENVER - Medical marijuana rules are headed to a Denver
judge.

Denver District Court Judge Larry Naves has scheduled a hearing
Tuesday morning on state regulations limiting who can supply the drug
to patients.

The state board of health temporarily narrowed the definition last
week. But medical marijuana supporters are asking Naves to block those
limits from taking effect, saying the state didn't give enough notice
of the vote.

The question is about the definition of "caregiver" and who can supply
marijuana to people who medically qualify to use the drug. It's
unclear how long it will take Naves to decide whether to block the new
rule.

The state health board is planning to make its final decision on Dec.
16.
