MARIJUANA THIEVES HIT CAMROSE ACREAGE
Camrose RCMP are investigating after a home invasion at a rural
acreage that was licensed to grow medical marijuana.
Around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, two males in black ski masks forced their
way inside the Camrose-area home and confined the lone male who was
inside at the time.
The pair of thieves then stole the large amount of marijuana plants in
the home, loaded them into the owner's truck and drove away.
The marijuana operation was legal and licensed, investigators have
confirmed. Police believe the home was specifically targeted.
The owner of the home was treated for minor injuries at St. Mary's
Hospital in Camrose. Police are now on the lookout for a stolen white
2002 Dodge Dakota, which has a large water tank in the back.
