SUPPORT METH BILL

Dear editor,

On May 10, 2006 the New Democrat Opposition tabled a bill entitled
Crystal Meth Prevention Act 20006.

The purpose of the bill is to bring British Columbia in line with 6
other provinces that restrict the sale of products that can be used to
make the dangerous drug Crystal Meth. It is time that these products
only be carried behind the counter of a pharmacy, and only be
dispensed by licensed pharmacists.

Crystal Meth is crippling our society. This bill will take a small,
but important, step in protecting BC's families and children from the
harm this drug creates.

I am writing to ask for your support of this bill. I am happy to
answer any questions you may have about this proposal.

The Opposition is also circulating a petition in an effort to
demonstrate to government the vast community support for this effort.
This petition is available at my constituency offices, and I would
encourage anyone who is interested in this issue to come and sign it.
