PROHIBITION CAUSES CRIME
Re: Pretrial credit has validity, Oct. 11: The congestion in our legal
system is not due
to a lack of prosecutors or enough grease on the wheels of justice. The
congestion is
due to the all-time high arrest rate for simple possession of cannabis.
Overall, crime
has been going down since 1992. Prohibition causes increased crime.
