FIND HEALTHIER CHOICES
To the Editor:
I have lived in Mendocino County for nearly a year. It seems to be
that there is a large percentage of people here that claim to be sick
and in need of medical marijuana. I have also noticed the alarming
numbers of young adults who make this claim. I don't question that
there are those who are ill and in need of medicine. I do question
promoting marijuana as merely an "herb" and the only substance that
can bring relief and healing. Marijuana is a drug, has side effects,
and should be regulated like prescription drugs. Now there are natural
plant substances that are 100 to 10,000 times more concentrated than
"herbs" and that can bring true healing. Since the beginning of human
existence, essential oils have been used as medicine. These plant
oils, when properly grown and distilled with the intent of healing,
are more powerful than any substance known to man. My suggestion for
the young people is to clear the brain fog and make healthy choices.
Eating organic food and living a green lifestyle, while smoking your
"herb" is your choice. A healthier choice is to do essential oils, not
drugs. I rather see a poorer economy with healthy people than this
drug based economy with all these sick people.
Finally, please let the cops enforce the law. If you think that you
may be breaking the law and you feel anxiety by the presence of a
patrol car, then maybe you are breaking the law. If you don't like the
law, then get involved and change it. Until then, take responsibility
and quit twisting the interpretation of the law to your own liking. If
you are truly trying to grow your "herb" according to the law, you do
not have to fear law enforcement. Live in truth and you will be free.
