POT STORY NOT FRONT-PAGE NEWS

I am both embarrassed and outraged by Monday's front page. I can't
believe that pot dispensaries have become the most important event
happening in Summit County. Isn't there anything more newsworthy than
promoting drugs to minors? This is not the way that we want to
portray ourselves to those visiting our beautiful county on vacation.
During these slow economic times, we need to appeal to families
looking for a beautiful winter travel destination. Growing and
selling pot is not going to attract these kinds of guests. I am also
very disappointed in the picture showing cookies and other treats
laced with the drug. My 7-year-old daughter said "Mmmmm, Mom that
looks good. Can we go there?"

In a country that makes advertising alcohol and cigarettes to
children illegal, the Summit Daily should know better than to print
something as tasteless as this. As a daily reader, I expect more tact
caution from my news paper.
