FELGER CORRECT ABOUT LEADERS, BUT CHANGING THEM IS TOUGH

Editor, the Times:

Re: Tim Felger's letter last week - Our real problem isn't gangs or drugs,
it's civic leadership:

Felger is correct that gangs and drugs are not the main problems of
your community. At most they're a symptom of corrupt leadership.

Felger is incorrect in the swiftness with which he can counteract
prohibition, but on other fronts he can perhaps make
improvements.

Denial is the most powerful coping mechanism. Canadian cannabis
prohibition is unconstitutional, a shameless fraud.

If Felger is willing to step forward, shills for Big Brother may stand
in the way.

I want to see him push through, though.
