LET'S JUST FOLLOW THE LAWS WE LIKE

The purpose of your letters to the editor has once again been
achieved. Two of Thursday's writers believe that eliminating the laws
they don't like will create harmony in our world. If we just warned
parking violators, how long would it be before you could not park
downtown? If your front license plate has been off your vehicle for
seven years, it should not count any longer. If we legalized
marijuana, how long would it be before our dependence on chemicals
reached 100 percent?

In my 33 years in law enforcement I have never met or arrested a dope
addict who did not start out his habit with the gateway drug
marijuana. So, let's legalize it! Now we all got it off our chest.
