RESPONSE TO 'BEWARE OF POLICE?' LETTER, JULY 15 ISSUE

Charity Mason said that "Just because they (police) enforce the law
does not mean they are above the law."

Actually, it does. The police have been out of control for decades,
but no one seems to have the guts to stand up to them. The
politicians are afraid of them, the media just regurgitates whatever
tripe the police feed them, and the general public has lost all
respect for them

We can blame drug prohibition. It is the root cause of most police
corruption, and now corruption is the standard. Cops rule everything.
We have no rights. Get used to it.
