TEEN'S GRIEF UNIMAGINABLE
I am appalled at the July 23 headline "Marijuana found in deadly crash
vehicle." Have you lost sight of the fact two beautiful young girls
lost their lives in that accident and two others remain in hospital
with critical injuries? The article goes on to say a "drug recognition
expert on the scene determined there were signs Harms -- the driver --
was under the influence of something, allowing authorities to draw
blood." I'm pretty sure this expert is willing to state this every
time a young teenage person is behind the wheel. I truly hope and pray
they find nothing in his system. I can't even imagine the guilt and
grief this young man is going through right now as he has already lost
so much. If there were an empty beer can in the back of the car, would
the article have been titled "Empty beer can found?" I doubt it. My
condolences to the families and friends.

(You can't blame police for doing their duty to find out what caused
such a tragic crash.)
