POT RULES A GOOD IDEA FOR COUNTY
Editor:
I have lived m Tehama County all of my life. It's a shame to see nice
neighborhoods being taken over by the marijuana growth. Why are they
all other states and other counties coming to Tehama County - because
we have no ordinance in place to regulate what's happening.
Our children and grandchildren are at risk.
When harvest time comes, so does crime and guns. This is the same time
school starts. Kids will be waiting for the bus or walking to school.
What's to stop her from being taken hostage in a raid or being shot
at? This could be stopped if we can have some regulations.
I took an oath of office in December 2009, when I was sworn in on the
Gerber Elementary School Board to protect the children. I wouldn't
feel right if I didn't speak out on this subject.
This is not taking anyone's medicine away or keeping them from growing
marijuana, as I heard them cry at the last Board of Supervisors
meeting. It is protecting the silent majority and children.
