WHY REDFORD SUPPORTS PROHIBITION
Either Justice Minister Alison Redford does not trust the public's
judgment ("Want us to take drugs seriously? Stop lying to us," June
28), as you state, or she sees potential profit by keeping the drug
war alive. A lot of people are making money off the prison industrial
complex, and mandated treatment facilities that are parasitic
outgrowths of prohibition. When Redford supports prohibition as
strongly as she does, you need to look deeper for why.

(It's either political or dumb, but likely little else.)
