POLICE RAID NETS 8,000 POT PLANTS
A massive marijuana grow-operation was raided yesterday morning near
Hatzic Lake in Mission.
Close to 8,000 plants were discovered in the outdoor grow-op on a
rural property near the end of Eagle Road.
Police monitored the area for nearly a week before executing a search
warrant on the farm. They seized the budding crop, along with a cache
of firearms.
The majority of the plants were in outdoor "natural" greenhouses,
while almost 200 were discovered in the home's basement. Vegetables
were planted in and around the greenhouses to disguise the operation.
Eight people were arrested and are facing charges.
