MOUNTIES RAID WRONG HOUSE
Stony Plain RCMP have issued what is calls a "heartfelt apology" to
some homeowners who got a surprise visit from police who went to the
wrong house while executing a warrant early Monday.
RCMP went to the rural home on the Enoch Cree Nation as part of a drug
investigation. However, they went into the wrong house, which they
didn't realize until they were inside.
"It's not believed the residence was damaged," RCMP spokesman Cpl.
Wayne Oakes, adding that although people were home at the time, no one
was hurt.
The police ultimately got to the right house, where they seized
drugs.
The RCMP is reviewing the incident.
