CLEAR-HEADED THINKING ON 'WAR ON DRUGS'
Re: Legalizing and regulating drug use, Opinion June 3
David Bratzer and his colleagues in the law enforcement field are to
be commended for their stand against drug prohibition. Unfortunately,
our political parties lack the courage to address this issue. It's
time to take a serious look at the legalization of soft drugs (such as
marijuana). The economic gains realized from the sale of "legalized"
marijuana will add to those derived from the sale of other legal drugs
such as alcohol.
