FREE HEROIN FEEDS THE DRAGON
After some 25 years as an injection-drug user, I have been clean from
needles for 15 years (Trial To Give Free Heroin To Hard-Core Addicts
- - June 1). I am saddened to see this free-heroin approach being taken.
More treatment beds and safe houses are needed; we need to help our
junkies, not kill them. Offering free heroin is not going to help
control crime. It is only going to feed the sleeping dragon.
