POT-HOME DECISION HIGHLIGHTS OUR NEED FOR ELECTED JUDGES

The Judy Ann Craig decision by the Supreme Court of Canada, which
allowed a convicted drug dealer to keep the home where she grew her
marijuana, is another example that we need judges to be elected so
that they will be more responsible to the public.

We have elected MPs to make laws but the menacing judges distort every one.

The federal drug laws to mandate confiscation of "offence-related
property" are clearly to deter drug-related activities.

Judy Craig had run the illicit drug-growing business for three years,
during which she made tons of money. This illegal revenue has
afforded her to modify her home for business and for covering up her
crime. It is obvious that the house has become an "offence-related
property" and should be confiscated.
