DROP THE PRETENSE ABOUT POT

Re "Pot shops sprout in city" (Page B1, May 25): Sacramentans don't
care about pot. Or at least our city council members don't.

The city doesn't allow these shops to set up business legally even
though voters approved marijuana for medical use over 13 years ago.
Because of this, the city has no idea how many shops exist. That is
why some council members proposed a moratorium. The City Council "may
discuss the moratorium as early as June 2."

I say we make pot legal so our council members can stop acting like
they care about regulating it.
