REALISTIC DRUG EDUCATION NEEDED

Re: ecstasy. Pill testing can give us some insight. The harm reduction
group DanceSafe
got it spot on with the statement: "Because prohibition means zero
regulation, organized
criminals can make huge profits selling fake drugs to unwitting consumers
who are
afforded no protection under the law." Festivals that I've been to with
pill-testing
stations were a welcome sight. However, it's still the consumer's
responsibility to ask
if they should know something about the pills before taking them (like how
many to take
at once). Most street-level dealers don't want to hurt their customers but
don't have
accessible testing. This is where education other than "drugs are bad,
don't do them" is
needed.
