LET'S EXPOSE THE PHONY WAR ON DRUGS

Now that you've finished your in-depth report of charities, how about
a front-page expose on the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the
American people: the so-called war on drugs?

After all, people giving money to charities do have a choice; most of
the victims of drug-war violence do not. The civilians in Mexico
being slaughtered by drug lords and drug cops alike do not. Nor do
the families of suspected drug users here in the U.S. who are
subjected to the terrorist tactics of our own drug police.

Come on, let's talk about wrecked homes and shattered families. Let's
talk about lying bureaucrats and the trashing of our Constitution;
about the destruction of privacy and the lengthy prison sentences
being handed down every day for victimless crimes.

Or has The Arizona Republic been bought or threatened into Big
Brother's conspiracy of silence?
