MARIJUANA: THE JUSTICE MINISTER SHOULD KNOW BETTER
Re: Pot is 'currency' for harder drugs, Canada & World, April 23 I
have to wonder what colour the sky is on federal Justice Minister Rob
Nicholson's planet. Anybody with a gram of sense knows that the only
reason pot can be "currency" for hard drugs is because of its illegality.
Marijuana should be kept away from kids, and anyone with a desire to
retain what he or she is learning, but it's not cocaine, it's not
heroin and it's certainly not a gun. It's a herb that occurs
naturally and has been manipulated by growers to become more powerful
- -- just as apples are manipulated to become juicier or redder.
All that continuing its prohibition will accomplish is to criminalize
its proponents. It's time for the Conservative puppets to pay
attention, so as to stop taking steps backward on this issue.
