CAN'T KILL DEMAND
Re: "Absurd war on drugs" (Letters, April 18).
In lamenting that a new gang will step in now that the Hell's Angels
have been removed (albeit temporarily) from the drug market, Don
Ellis asks, "When will this absurd war on drugs end?"
The answer lies in the fact that while we can fight as much as we
want on the supply side in the streets of Montreal or the jungles of
Columbia, as long as there is a demand someone will find a way to fill it.
