4:20 GATHERINGS MAKES ME ASHAMED

Re: "Peace Tower clock not only thing that goes bong" (April 21).
I've attended the last
two 4:20 gatherings in Major's Hill park and it really makes me
ashamed to be associated
with the drug and marijuana culture in Ottawa.

Both times the park has been left completely trashed with cups, snack
wrappers, plastic bags and beer cans. I support the legalization of
marijuana, but the movement will never shake off its negative
stereotypes if we can't even bother cleaning up after ourselves.
