MARIJUANA ADVOCATES FORM GEORGIA CHAPTER
Marijuana advocates have set up shop in Georgia. The National
Organization for the Reform Marijuana laws announced the formation of
its Georgia chapter this week to lobby for legalization of pot for -
at least - medical purposes. Executive Director David Clark contends
that tax revenues from carefully regulated sales of cannabis could
offset the cuts being made in the area of education and economic
improvement. NORML wants the drug to be available to glaucoma, cancer
and AIDS patients for treatment and for recreational use by adults.
