WHICH AREA BETTER THAN DUNBAR TO TEST ADDICT HOUSING MODEL?
To the editor:
Having worked with less privileged people in various Vancouver
communities, I am keen to hear how Mr. Goldstrom has received his
expertise ("Smug Garr inflaming tension in Dunbar," Letters, May 31).
When I read "The Four Pillars goal will not be achieved" and
"Vancouver's addicts will not be healed," I get the feeling it is
time for a little consulting with ex-mayor Philip Owen. Failing that,
possibly a prayer in the local church may be greatly appreciated.
Re: Mr. G.'s conviction that "To duplicate this model, without
careful testing and proof of its success, cannot engender confidence
or support"-I would so much like to know where Mr. Goldstrom suggests
it should be tested.
